The inclusion of the Mullingar Shamrocks man is the only personnel change to the Lake County side that saw off Wexford in their last outing.

Smyth replaces Ronan Foley, a nephew of Meath legend Kevin, in the side in a move that prompts a host of positional switches.

Kieran Martin switches to centre-back with John Gilligan going to left corner-back, while Paddy Holloway moves out from corner-back to wing-back. Paul Sharry shifts from wing-back to midfield with team captain Ger Egan now on the '40' and Ray Connellan switching to the wing. Cribbin has held the likes of Kieran Gavin and Denis Glennon in reserve.

Meath will name their team early today with the Dublin and Kildare also expected to release their starting sides this afternoon.

Westmeath (SF v Meath) - D Quinn; K Daly, K Maguire, J Gilligan; P Holloway, K Martin, J Dolan; P Sharry, D Daly; R Connellan, G Egan, D Corroon; L Smyth, J Heslin, S Dempsey.
