Sloppy Clare cruise

Clare 5-10
London 0-4

Clare enjoyed a facile victory over London at Cusack Park, but manager Micheal McDermott will not be happy with their tally of 17 wides.

London's inadequacies were highlighted by the fact that they didn't score from play at all and their only second-half score came in the dying moments.

At half-time, the hosts led by 2-3 to 0-3 with the goals coming from a fisted Alan Clohessy effort in the sixth minute and Gary Brennan after 27 minutes.

Top scorer David Tubridy added a pair of second-half goals and Clohessy's green flag in the 56th completed the route.

London had one good chance late in the game when Sean Kelly cut through the Banner defence but his shot was parried by goalie Joe Hayes.
