Westmeath set up a quarter-final clash with Offaly after victory over Wicklow at Aughrim.

The winners had a slow start and were knocked out of their stride by the loss of star full-back Israel Ilunga to a black card. But they found their feet to lead by 1-9 to 0-1 at half-time with a goal from Ruairi Cunningham.

Wicklow started a fight-back after the restart with a goal and a point by full-forward Gary Allen and a point by Mikey O'Connor to slice the deficit to six points.

But a goal by Ciaran Shanley killed off the game.
