Series lacks any purpose

What now for the international rules series? Never has it seemed less relevant than it does now following Ireland's complete domination of literally every minute of the two Tests in Australia. A winning margin of 65 points says it all really.

The advantage will always rest with the travelling team, which is a fundamental flaw.

And spectators have fallen out of love with it, just 35,000 attended this year's games. The GAA are keen to continue but the question has to be asked: what is the point?
