Sacrifices should be acknowledged
ANYONE having a go at John Miskella for not 'taking his point' rather than going for the winning goal against Kerry late in Sunday's Munster final should remember the sacrifices inter-county players make.
"I haven't taken a drink, or been out, since our team holiday last January and I'd say a lot of the Cork lads are in the same boat," Miskella revealed in an interview last week.
"It's never fun, and it gets more and more professional with each year. The aim is to win, and the enjoyment comes when you achieve that."
A married man and father of two, he was back to the day job as a Garda after Sunday's defeat.
