Roscommon show no mercy
Roscommon 1-14 London 0-7
Roscommon chalked up their first league victory of the season with a comfortable 10-point defeat of London at Ruislip.
The Connacht champions had too much quality for their hosts, and but for a flurry of missed chances the winning margin would have been substantially greater. Just like their Connacht championship meeting last summer, a late first-half scoring spree gave Roscommon a healthy lead at the break, three points in as many minutes handing them a 0-7 to 0-4 lead.
With the wind in their favour after the break, Fergal O'Donnell's side pinned the Exiles into their own half, but they managed just three points in the opening quarter.
However, London tired as the game wore on, and Roscommon put the gloss on the scoreline when Senan O'Grady netted in added time.
