Rogers seals the points for Roscommon
John Rogers' injury-time goal bagged a hard-earned win for Roscommon in Kiltoom.
The home side looked to have blown their chance in the opening half when they hit 11 wides with the wind behind them.
However, the introduction of Fintan Cregg alongside Rogers' accuracy in attack turned the tide in Roscommon's favour.
Fermanagh made a dream start when Ryan Jones' second-minute free slipped through the fingers of Roscommon midfielder Kevin Higgins and into the net.
Two points from Cathal Cregg and Rogers suggested that Roscommon had weathered the storm, but they went on to miss a host of decent chances.
Fermanagh were far more economical in their forward play and points from Chris O'Brien, Tommy McElroy and their best player, Paul Ward, helped the Ulster side to a 1-5 to 1-4 interval advantage.
Roscommon were much improved on the resumption, but they didn't take the lead until Cregg guided over an effort with the outside of his right boot in the 65th minute.
Fermanagh substitute Tomas Corrigan levelled matters from a free, but the excellent Rogers stepped up to the plate as he drilled home the match-defining score with the game entering additional time.
