The game and the result will live long in nobody's memory, with the sight of Maggie Farrelly becoming the first female to take charge of a senior inter-county GAA match the only show in town in last night's clash in Garvaghey.

The Cavan whistler was composed and in control throughout but did dish out one red card, to St Mary's forward Matthew Fitzpatrick, for two bookable offences.

Ciaran Flaherty scored a second-half goal as Fermanagh edged an otherwise forgettable game.
