Cork remain on course for a first provincial title at this grade since 2010 after crushing Limerick in front of 1,813 at Páirc Uí Rinn.

Josh Ryan opened the scoring for Limerick in the first minute, but that was as good as it got for the visitors as Cork reeled off ten unanswered points, with Colm O'Callaghan pulling the strings from centre-forward and Cathal Maguire also showing up well.

The home team were able to counter-attack incisively and Limerick's cause wasn't helped by the black-carding of captain Diarmaid Kelly.

O'Callaghan might have had a goal for Cork only to shoot over, and at half-time they led 0-12 to 0-2.

Cork continued to dominate in the second half, though the flow of scoring slowed.

Sean O'Sullivan goaled for them in the 37th minute to remove any doubts about the outcome and they had a massive 16 points to spare at the end.

Kerry await in the final.
