Power lifts Gaels to final

A dominant first-half display helped Manchester's Fullen Gaels overcome a poor Bredagh, from Antrim, in their one-sided semi-final at Chanel College.

Early points from Robbie Power, Shane Lawless and Simon Wallace saw Fullen dominate from the off – and they scored the opening goal 11 minutes in through Reamonn McEntee, finishing to the roof of the net from 15 yards.

Alan Morrissey registered a fine score as Fullen extended their lead, with Power adding four points to his tally by the end of the half, to leave it 1-9 to 0-0 at the short whistle.

Bredagh finally opened their account when Ian Galway pointed 30 seconds after the restart, but further points from Power maintained Fullen's momentum. Bredagh's inability to score from play proved crucial.

And despite the concession of a late goal to Bredagh's Galway, there was never any question as to Fullen's progression.
