Ouch! Referee almost takes Roscommon player's eye out after accidental poke in the Connacht final

It says a lot about the entertainment on offer at today's Connacht final that the most memorable highlight was the referee smacking a player in the face.
Roscommon kicked two late points to force a 1-10 to 0-13 draw with Galway, but besides the goal there weren't a whole lot of talking points.
A low quality game was petering out in injury time when referee Conor Lane black carded Galway's Patrick Sweeney. When the official went to restart play, he failed to spot Roscommon's Donie Shine behind him and accidentally hit him in the face.
Shine didn't make anything out of it and Lane even gave him an affectionate pat on the head to show that he didn't mean any harm.
