O'Rourke streaks clear in fight for Fantasy Gaelic glory
Colm O'Rourke and his Desperados have taken the lead in the Sunday Independent Fantasy Gaelic table, sitting comfortably in top spot with 121 points.
At the other end of the table, the Fielder has made little headway in his quest for glory; he still has only 25 points and is second from the bottom. There was no statement after last week's performance, but if things don't improve for the Fielder's 15, then a resignation could be on the cards before the qualifiers kick off.
New addition to the Sunday Independent League, Eamonn O'Hara finished his first week with a modest 72 points, but there is still plenty of time for him to challenge O'Rourke for the top spot. The winner of the Sunday Independent League will be in with a chance to win two tickets to the All-Ireland football final and an overnight stay in a Dublin hotel. There are also runner-up prizes on offer, including signed county jerseys.
In the battle amongst the current players, we can reveal that Galway's Conor Costello is leading the experts' league for the second week in a row with 128 points, up 26 from last week.
Wexford's Brian Malone has stormed into second place with 125 points and just one point behind him is Michael Konstantin from Kildare.
