O'Neill return caps Rossies stroll

Seamus O'Neill made a return to the Roscommon colours as Fergal O'Donnell's men completed this campaign with a deserved four-point win over GMIT in Ballyforan.
The Kilbride midfielder hadn't played for the Rossies in over 18 months but he made an instant impact, scoring the first point of the game in the second minute.
Apart from O'Neill's return, Roscommon gave a host of fringe players the opportunity to impress ahead of next Sunday's Division 4 league opener against Longford.
Both sides were out of the running to reach the final but they contributed to an enjoyable spectacle, although intensity levels were evidently lacking for long periods.
Roscommon were 0-8 to 0-5 ahead at the break. The introduction of Brian Cregg and Cian Smith at half-time reaped a rich harvest in an eight-minute spell between the 35th and 43rd minutes. Smith caught the eye with two points from play, while Cregg sneaked into the small square to fist Terence Kelly's cross-field pass to the net in the 42nd minute.
Another substitute, Colm Garvey, also added a point as Roscommon opened up a 10-point gap with 10 minutes remaining. However, GMIT rallied and their best player, Stephen Griffin, tagged on two frees before substitute Darren Clabby fired spectacularly to the net a minute from time.
But Roscommon held on to record their second win of their campaign.
