O'Hara facing one month lay-off

SLIGO footballers have been hit by an early-season injury to former All Star Eamonn O'Hara.
He has his wrist in plaster after damaging it in their FBD League game with Leitrim and is expected to be out for at least a month.
Emlyn Mulligan's return after a cruciate injury in that game is some compensation and Sligo are also optimistic about Alan Costello's availability for this weekend's NFL opener against Antrim.
Costello got a straight red card when playing for GMIT in the Sigerson Cup midweek, which rules him out of the remainder of that competition but his four-week ban does not apply at inter-county level.
Colleges' action has proved particularly costly for Cavan football as their best forward Seanie Johnson broke his elbow playing for DCU in their midweek Sigerson defeat of UCD which will result in a lengthy lay-off.
And new Clare hurling boss Ger O'Loughlin, whose side play Cork in a challenge game in Fermoy tomorrow (7.0), is still awaiting the long-term prognosis on U-21 star John Conlon who is also in plaster after damaging his ankle playing for NUIG last weekend.
