Offaly ease past Kilkenny

Offaly were without a dozen players because of college commitments and still dished out a 1-23 to 0-6 hammering to Kilkenny in the O'Byrne Cup at Thomastown yesterday.

A mistake in the home defence after eight minutes gifted Sean Ryan Offaly's goal and at the break they were 1-12 to 0-1 up. Graham Lalor, with two, and JJ Grace kicked points for Kilkenny in the second half.
