O Lionain's quick-fire double keeps Deise in winning habit
John Owens' Waterford remain unbeaten after they recorded an impressive win over Wicklow at Fraher Field in Dungarvan yesterday.
Two goals by Liam Ó Lionáin three minutes apart just before the break proved to be the difference between the sides as the home side went in at the break two goals to the good.
A Wicklow goal by JP Dalton six minutes into the second half cut the home side's lead to three points but, despite Tony Hannon's accuracy from placed ball, this was as good as it got for Mick O'Dwyer's visitors as the home side, playing some of the best football any Waterford side has ever played, ran out convincing victors in the end by a nine-point margin.
