Michael Newman grabbed a last-minute winner as NUI Maynooth stealthily pick-pocketed Queen's at the Dub.
Queen's led by 0-3 to 0-1 early on, with Caolan Rafferty getting the pick of the scores.
Maynooth were winning the midfield battle and three points without reply had them ahead, but Niall McKenna's goal helped the hosts to a 1-5 to 0-5 half-time lead.
Within eight minutes of the restart, though, NUIM were level.
The sides traded points after the score of the game from Cian Mullins on 46 minutes, and when McKenna levelled again in the 61st minute, extra-time looked on the cards.
However, Newman's fourth point won it for the visitors.
