Morrissey magic helps Tipp turn tables on Clare
TIPPERARY 3-13 CLARE 1-6
TIPPERARY will play beaten Ulster finalists Tyrone in next weekend's second round of qualifiers in the TG4 All-Ireland Ladies SFC.
Tipp overturned last year's qualifier defeat with a rout of Clare yesterday.
Trisha Hickey bagged 1-8, but Mairead Morrissey claimed the Player of the Match award after scoring 2-2.
Defensively, the Premier County were extremely solid against a Clare team held to just 1-3 from play.
By half-time, Tipp led 1-9 to 0-4, Hickey netting in the 23rd minute.
And Clare were rocked three minutes after the restart when Catriona Walsh fed Morrissey for a fine close-range finish.
Eimear Considine responded with a goal in the 36th minute but Morrissey was on target again in the 42nd minute.

Emma Farmer was Player of the Match.
Cork came from behind to grab a 3-6 to 3-5 interval lead and pulled away after the break
