Moriarty the master
Tralee CBS 3-17
St Colman's 1-4
Tralee CBS laid the foundations for a surprisingly facile victory in Knocknagree in the first half, in which they scored 2-11 without reply.
Jamie Moriarty's third-minute goal gave them an ideal start and with Moriarty and Niall Sheehy scoring 1-10 between them and Shane O'Callaghan adding a second goal in the 21st minute, the outcome was all but decided at the interval.
While St Colman's Fermoy improved somewhat early in the second half, Kieran Morrison scoring the first two points after the restart, Tralee responded with points from Ian McCarthy, Moriarty (two) and sub Dan Carroll. The win was sealed when O'Callaghan fisted his second goal, with Michael Pyne grabbing a late consolation goal for Fermoy.
