Two-time All Star Lee Keegan has been freed to play against Kerry in the Gaelic Grounds after he was sent off for a petulant kick on Kerry's Johnny Buckley last weekend but the decision hasn't been universally welcomed.
Most observers felt that the red card decision from David Coldrick was harsh but that he followed the letter of the law.
It is believed that Keegan's successful hearing was largely based on video evidence and Mayo were thrilled when news came through late last night.
According to reports, Keegan was sent off for kicking with "minimal force" but using video evidence Mayo claimed that no contact was made.
The decision was hotly debated on twitter last night. Here's the best of the reaction.
