Two second-half goals from Rathnew captain Nicky Mernagh decided the Wicklow Senior football championship final and gave the village club a three-in-a-row of Garden County titles.
After a poor quality first half it was Leighton Glynn's penalty that had sent the reigning champions in leading by a point (1-2 to 0-4) at the break.
James Stafford had been pulled down at the end of one of his marauding runs up the field and Leighton Glynn fired home past Colm Byrne from the penalty spot.
St Patrick's corner-forward Brian Coen had given the Wicklow town team a boost with two superbly pointed frees.
But James Stafford and Leighton Glynn took the game by the scruff of the neck for Rathnew in the second half and by the 43rd minute Nicky Mernagh had bagged his two goals and the game was all but over as a contest.
Stafford picked up the man-of-the-match award.
