Meath's Seamus Kenny has announced his retirement from inter-county football.

Kenny has represented the Royal County with distinction for the past 15 years, winning two Leinsters and an Allianz League Division Two title.

Meath's captain in 2011 and 2012 has been dogged by injuries recently and missed the Royals' All-Ireland qualifier defeat against Armagh last weekend with a hip problem.
