The home side led by the minimum at half-time, running in 0-8 to 0-7 in front in a very open game of football in the driving rain.

However, the Oak Leaf County sped up through the gears after the break and with corner-back Conor McCluskey scoring their goal, they eventually ran out convincing winners.

In a first half that swayed one way and then the next, Derry took an early 0-3 to no score lead, only to see the Red Hands battle back to lead 0-4 to 0-3 by the 12th minute.
