The Ulster champions ripped the Davitt College defence apart with three second-half goals.

It was all so different in the first period. Playing against the breeze, Davitt College midfielders James Lowe and Darren Flannery had the better of the exchanges with Colm Maginn and Ruairi Laughlin.

Indeed the winners had keeper Chris Hurley to thank for a brilliant save from Emmett Gill midway through the opening half. But after that Malachy's gradually settled to take control and cruise to victory.
