Kildare minor stars Reynolds and Mulhall seal Ard Scoil's triumph

Ard Scoil na Trionoide 2-13
St Declan's 1-11

Kildare minor stars Cian Reynolds and Darroch Mulhall hit 2-7 between them as Ard Scoil na Trionoide from Athy saw off the Senan Connell-managed St Declan's of Dublin in Athy.

Goals from Mulhall and Reynolds gave them a commanding 2-6 to 0-2 lead at half time. Former Dubs star Connell obviously did some stern talking during the break as the Cabra men came out a different team.

Led by Adam Caffrey, watched by his father, former Dublin boss Paul, St Declan's took the game to Athy and a 36th-minute goal from Jamie Bray left just five points in it.

Bray was denied a second goal minutes later by the post and Athy sealed the win with late points from Niall Kelly and Ton Gibbons .
