Kerry's Brogan problem doubles
Jack O'Connor has had to wait five years, but the big test has finally arrived. He recalled in his autobiography how, in 2006, he and his selectors were making lots of notes about Dublin when they went seven points up against Mayo in the semi-final.
"We're looking at (Alan) Brogan, in particular, and asking who we will put on him. Marc O Se, we think." It didn't arise, of course, as Mayo came back to win by a point.
Five years later, O'Connor is facing the same question, only this time he also has to contend with Brogan's younger brother, Bernard, who has terrorised defences in recent seasons.
Marc O Se is still there, although not necessarily all that comfortable at full-back, so perhaps he'll move left or right to pick up a Brogan. Question is -- which one?
