Stephen Hunt sparked a big debate by suggesting that GAA players wouldn't be able hack it as professional footballers, and ex-Armagh star Aaron Kernan is heading to the Stadium of Light tomorrow to test his theory.

Kernan and Kilkenny hurling ace Jackie Tyrrell are taking part in an upcoming TV3 documentary that will see them swap lives with a professional athlete for a week.

The Crossmaglen star is heading to Sunderland tomorrow to pit himself alongside their Premier League players while Tyrrell is going to Florida to do a similar swap with a Major League baseball player.

Kernan (31) said his main worry is the quality of his soccer touch, joking: "Brian Mallon, who played for Armagh and was a very good underage soccer player, reckons my second touch will be a tackle!"
