Kennelly effort not enough

THERE was plenty of drama in the Kingdom over the weekend, with Dingle capturing the West Kerry title by a point as Darragh O Se saw red for An Ghaeltacht.
Having been instrumental for his side in the opening half, beating former Kerry colleague Diarmuid Murphy with a long-range free, O Se couldn't influence the result after getting a second yellow card after 41 minutes.
Two points from Tadhg Kennelly was not enough for Listowel Emmetts on Saturday as the Mikey Boyle-inspired Ballyduff secured a draw in the North Kerry championship.
A broken nose couldn't stop Bryan Sheehan from notching 0-6 in St Mary's Junior championship win over Waterville. Elsewhere, the Tralee final ended a draw between Austin Stacks and Kerins O'Rahilly's, while Milltown Castlemaine and Keel also couldn't be separated in the mid-Kerry final.
