Keenan can help louth end drought

Keith Barr

Louth might be the romantic story of the championship so far but the 50-year gap to their last Leinster final still has to be bridged. I'm sure manager Peter Fitzpatrick wishes they were coming in under the radar; Westmeath have experienced men who will not fear Louth.

The Wee men won't always beat a side that shoots 1-16, as Kildare did, so they must expect a completely different contest, particularly as Westmeath have their big guns back.

Still, if Paddy Keenan and Brian White can win the midfield battle and JP Rooney and Shane Lennon maintain their form, I believe Louth will end their final drought.

Elsewhere, Galway should beat Sligo, and Monaghan can see off Fermanagh. In the qualifiers, I'm going for Offaly, Armagh, Derry, Mayo, Cavan, Kildare, Wexford and Laois.
