The Killererin player, who is a cousin of former Footballer of the Year Padraic Joyce, delivered a strong performance as Alan Mulholland's men bounced back after their loss to NUIG last week.

London started well into the wind and led by 0-3 to 0-2 after 10 minutes, with Padraig McGoldrick scoring twice and Mark Gottsche slotting over a '45'.

However, by the break, Galway had found their rhythm, with Cormac Bane kicking over three points and Michael Martin notching a brace in addition to an effort from Joyce as they hit six unanswered points to lead by 0-9 to 0-3.

Martin extended Galway's lead, but London responded well with four quick points from Sean McVeigh, Eoin O'Neill and Fergal McVey that left the visitors just four points adrift.

Galway regrouped and Martin, Paul Conroy, Joe Joe Greaney and Joyce added points before a penalty from Martin with the last kick of the game, after Gareth Bradshaw was fouled, sealed the win.
