Jim Gavin makes two changes to Dublin side for Leinster decider
Dublin manager Jim Gavin has made two changes to the side that handily dispatched of Meath in the penultimate round for tomorrow’s Leinster final against Westmeath at Croke Park.
In a somewhat unexpected selection, Gavin has preferred Eric Lowndes to James McCarthy at half back. Elsewhere, Michael Darragh Macauley comes into midfield in place of Denis Bastick, where he will partner Brian Fenton.
Of course, Dublin are on the cusp of winning a sixth Leinster title in as many years and, should they emerge victorious, they will be first side to do so since Kevin Heffernan’s great Dubs team did likewise between 1974-79. Indeed, Dublin are at 1/100 to prevail. Throw in tomorrow is at 4 pm.
