Jack McCaffrey: I wasn't holding down fluids well and needed a drip

Dublin's Jack McCaffrey has opened up about the bout of food poisoning which interrupted his preparations for yesterday's All-Ireland final triumph.
Former Dublin manager Paul Caffrey revealed that the wing-back had been unwell during the week and was on an IV drip.
The 21-year-old, who played a starring role despite his illness and has been widely tipped to be named the Footballer of the Year, played down the incident.
"I think it was overstated a bit, I had a bit of food poisoning. I was on a drip for a while but lads are running away with it a little bit," he told Off The Ball on Newstalk.
"It was for a couple of hours, it was basically getting a litre of water into me. I wasn't holding liquids very well."
McCaffrey has been very influential for Jim Gavin's side this season and puts his improvement down to the disappointment of last year's defeat to Donegal.
"I wouldn't have been 100pc pleased with last year personally at all and this year set a goal that I wanted to play every minute of every game for Dublin from the O'Byrne Cup on.
"Maybe I bulked up a little bit but it was just focusing on the simple things."
