LONGFORD'S footballers will finish out their disappointing Division 4 season without star attacker Brian Kavanagh.

Kavanagh, who won an All-Ireland club medal with Kilmacud Crokes, has broken a bone in his foot which means he will miss tomorrow's penultimate league game against Leitrim and the final round against Limerick.

Longford are struggling in the bottom half of the bottom division and failed to score for 45 minutes against Clare last week, when they were also without Jamesie Martin, Paul and David Barden, Paul Kelly and Cian Mimnagh.
