Laois forward Gary Walsh has slammed the Laois management after he was cut from the panel after receiving a phonecall from a member of the management team.

The Ballylinan clubman admitted to overreacting after he was substituted last weekend during Laois' defeat to Dublin, a game where he opened the scoring for Mick Lillis' side, at Nowlan Park.

In a statement released on his Twitter page Walsh wrote: "My commitment to the team was questions cos I lef a few fucks out of me after I was taken off against the Dubs, which I was wrong to do but at the time I was frustrated."

Walsh was clearly upset at being axed following '150 training session' and eight months of dedication.

Laois face Kieran McGeeney's Armagh in the first round of the All-Ireland qualifiers on Saturday week in Portlaoise.
