Griffin back for Kingdom

Tommy Griffin has returned to Kerry training for the first time since last summer's All-Ireland quarter-final defeat to Down.

Griffin has suffered with injury over the winter and an attempted comeback with his club in February was aborted when he sustained a severe hamstring problem.

It was thought he may retire but his return could not be more timely, with Tomas O Se almost certain to miss the rest of the Munster championship -- Kerry look unlikely to contest the two-month ban he was handed yesterday.

Manager Jack O'Connor is unlikely to risk Griffin for the provincial semi-final against Limerick on Sunday, with Shane Enright the likely replacement for O Se at corner-back.
