The college side led by four points with only five minutes remaining.

But Laois refused to lie down and Greene fisted in a long-range free from Michael Tierney, who scored the only goal in the first half.

Bustling Dublin forward Diarmuid Connelly was a real handful and scored a penalty early in the second half to bring the students level.

Laois failed to score for 25 minutes of the second half as Martin Reilly and Connelly hit the target for DIT.
