And as our picture from Brendan Moran of Sportsfile shows, Paudie Kissane (left) and team-mate Noel O'Leary weren't slow about welcoming him into the action after he was introduced as a 53rd-minute sub yesterday.

However, Galvin had the last laugh as he picked himself off the floor and, along with fellow sub, Colm Cooper, played a crucial role in helping the Kingdom record a four-point victory over their rivals.

To the relief of boss Eamonn Fitzmaurice, Kerry have now lifted themselves off the bottom of the table, but must beat Tyrone on Sunday week and hope other results go their way to survive.
