Freeman foils Scotstown

Magheracloone 1-11 Scotstown 1-11

Reigning champions Clontibret have to wait another week to see who they will be playing in the final after Magheracloone and Scotstown finished all square on Saturday.

Magheracloone led at half-time by 1-6 to 0-6, with James Hand scoring the goal.

Scotstown started the second half with a goal by Daniel McNally and took the lead for only the second time in the game near the end.

However they couldn't hold out, with Magheracloone equalising with a Tommy Freeman free right on the blow.

Clontibret had little difficulty in booking their place in the final when they proved too strong overall for Castleblayney in the first semi-final on Friday night, prevailing 0-18 to 0-11.
