DUBLIN piled the pressure on Kerry boss Eamonn Fitzmaurice with a 13 point rout in Killarney despite being reduced to 14-men early in the second half.

Michael Daragh Macauley received his marching orders for an incident involving Kieran Donaghy but Kerry couldn’t capitalise and only registered four scores in a 1-14 to 0-4 defeat in front of their home fans.

The Dubs were in complete command in the opening half and inspired by Bernard Brogan’s five points they led 0-8 to 0-2 at half time.

The only dampener on a terrific first half for Jim Gavin’s men saw Diarmuid Connolly stretchered off midway through the half.

Both sides got two points each before Macauley’s dismissal but despite their numerical advantage Kerry did not score again and Craig Dias’ goal helped Dublin to a facile win.
