Fitzgerald goal caps stunning Kingdom blitz

Kerry 2-16
Tipperary 1-8
Munster JFC quarter-finals
Cork 2-14
Clare 0-6

KERRY produced a tremendous second-half performance to blitz Tipperary at Fitzgerald Stadium.

It was a game that looked in the balance in the first half but Kerry took over completely in the second half. The Kerry attack was inspired by tricky corner-forwards Gavin O'Grady and Alan Fitzgerald.

Level on 1-7 apiece at the interval, Kerry then cut the Tipp defence apart. With Garry Sayers, Fitzgerald, Brendan Poff and JB Spillane all finding the target, the game was ended as a contest when O'Grady's clever cross was fisted to the net by Fitzgerald.
