Fermanagh forward Tomás Corrigan has described Jim McGuinness' comments about his county as "unfair" and "contradictory".

The former Donegal manager was observing the joyous scenes among Fermanagh supporters in Croke Park in his weekly Irish Times, despite an eight-point defeat to Dublin in the All-Ireland quarter-final and questioned the championship ambitions of some.

"I think J McGuinness's article is unfair. Picking out Ferm players/supporters to suit his theories is lazy and wrong. @IrishTimes," he posted on his Twitter account.

"The article is contradictory in a few key points. Need more than 140 characters to explain though!"

Corrigan who continued his goal scoring exploits by raising the green flag against the Dubs, admits that he did have one regret after finishing past goalkeeper Stephen Cluxton.

"As for ppl asking why I celebrated when I scored the goal, it was an automatic reaction. I only regret not blowing kisses," he tweeted.
