Egan penalty gets full points

A mere 367 paid in, but the fans from Westmeath were rewarded when their side took an easy victory at the Gaelic Grounds.
The visitors got off to a splendid start with points from Ger Egan and Paul Sharry and by half-time Westmeath led 1-8 to 0-6.
The goal came from a penalty when James Dolan was fouled and Ger Egan slotted home.
Limerick needed an early score after the break, but Ger Egan stretched the lead.
Limerick, who finished with 14 men, reeled off five points in a row, but the nearest they got to Westmeath was to within a goal.
