Dublin centre-back Cian O’Sullivan will miss tomorrow's National Football League semi-final against Donegal at Croke Park.
Former minor and Under-21 star Eric Lowndes is named in the key No 6 jersey instead of O’Sullivan. Jim Gavin’s team are hunting a fourth League success on the bounce and, other than O’Sullivan’s absence, he has named a strong starting XV with skipper Stephen Cluxton returning in goal.
Diarmuid Connolly is selected at full-forward and Bernard Brogan is at top of the left, even though he has not played too many full matches for the Dubs so far this season.
Johnny Cooper is chosen at full-back, even if positions may not mean too much today should Donegal adopt the all-out defensive strategy they have employed in recent matches.
