Former Dublin hurler and 2013 All-Star Danny Sutcliffe will line out at right-half-forward for New York this weekend when The Exiles take on Sligo at Gaelic Park on Sunday.

New York manager Justin O'Halloran will hand Sutcliffe and former Mayo corner-back Tom Cunniffe their championship debuts on Sunday, with Cunniffe already a five-time winner in this competition after making his intercounty debut with Mayo in 2007.

There are only four survivors from the New York starting team that lost by just a single point to Roscommon in last year's preliminary round, with Sligo native Vinny Cadden set to face his own county after being selected in goals for The Exiles.

Mayo's Brian Gallagher and Down duo Gerard McCartan and Keith Quinn are the other survivors from last year's championship.
