Counties go the distance

IF the measure of the worth of any league competition is in its ability to keep interest alive right up to the last day, then this season's Allianz Football League has more than proved its value.
Today is the last round of games, and of the 33 teams across the four divisions, only Dublin and Mayo in the first three divisions have nothing to play for. In Division 4, Roscommon are guaranteed to go up, but the bottom five teams have nothing to play for, promotion being beyond their reach.
That still leaves an incredible 25 counties going into action today either looking to secure promotion or avoid relegation.
Will Cork hold their nerve to book their place in the Division 1 final against Dublin? Can Galway pull of a great escape? Can Meath do likewise, or are they destined for the lower ranks of the league? And with just four points separating top from bottom in Division 3, what will be the final outcome?
A thrilling day is in store.
