COROFIN are set to battle the €5,100 fine they received from Connacht Council arising from incidents that took place after the provincial club football final.

Two Corofin players each got four-week suspensions and the club was hit with the swingeing financial penalty after referee Liam Devenney needed an escort off the field at the end of the game in Kiltoom.

The club will not be appealing the suspensions but intend to vehemently contest the fines.
