Cork players go on strike over selection row

Cork's senior hurling and football panels have gone on strike due to the row over who gets to choose the county's selectors.
The decision was agreed at a meeting of both panels where they declared themselves unavailable for Cork training until and unless the situation is resolved to their satisfaction.
The issue stems from Billy Morgan's resignation as Cork football coach because he would not be allowed to choose his selectors next year.
