Cookstown were the toast of Tyrone last night after lifting the All-Ireland Club IFC title thanks to a battling triumph over Finuge at Croke Park.

The Kerrymen, who had two sent off, were the authors of their own downfall. Teenager James McGahan was the Cookstown hero, scoring the second-half goal that set them on their way to a memorable evening.

Cookstown led by 0-5 to 0-4 at the interval and not long after McGahan's goal, it was game over when Finuge centre-back Pat Corridan received a straight red card. There was no way back for Finuge after that.
