Captain Donaghy in line for swift return to Kerry colours
Kieran Donaghy is in line for a quick return to Kerry colours ahead of Sunday's Allianz Division 1 visit of Dublin to Killarney.
Kerry will make a decision on their captain's availability tonight after he made his return to training following Austin Stacks' All-Ireland club semi-final defeat to Slaughtneil last week.
With his new leadership role Donaghy (right) may be anxious to get going with the county and put the club defeat behind him but manager Eamonn Fitzmaurice has shown a reluctance in previous league campaigns to press players back into action too quickly, regardless of the circumstances.
Kerry are cushioned by their away win in Derry over two weeks ago which gave Fitzmaurice his first February win as manager.
Dublin are not expected to recall either Diarmuid Connolly or Ger Brennan, who bowed out of club action with St Vincent's on the same weekend, but Ciaran Kilkenny is in line for his first start in just under 12 months after coming through intense college action over the weekend.
The majority of this weekend's football matches will overlap with the Six Nations clash between Ireland and England at the Aviva Stadium.
Kerry are preparing to cater for a crowd of around 8,000, similar to the gate for the opening game against Mayo - they don't expect the clash to have a significant impact on numbers.
Dublin are seeking a third successive win in Killarney.
