Canavan appointment to offer massive boost for Fermanagh

Peter Canavan's appointment as Fermanagh manager last night will unite the county after an acrimonious year.
The Tyrone legend's appointment is a major coup for the Erne County, who were rocked by a bitter divide between their players over the management of his predecessor John O'Neill.
O'Neill stepped down in September prior to a review of the season conducted by former Armagh player Jarlath Burns.
Canavan will be joined on his management team by former Fermanagh player Ciaran Donnelly and former Tyrone player Enda Kilpatrick.
The appointment is for three years with a review after every year.
